Last gallery changes (21st June 2006)
- I'm currently updating the my gallery of photos (one more time). I first tried to program it all by myself but I finally gave up the idea. It's too long to make it nicely work and there already exist lots of libraries and other options on the web to avoid waisting too much time.
During my trip in South America I really liked the simplicity of use of Gallery2 to upload and manage my pictures. I used it like a module apart of my website and had the idea to integrate it then in it and replace my first implementation. Gallery2 offers this possibility by using the embedded implementation but unfortunatelly it's necessary to have access to the configuration file of your Apache server to the safe mode off... which I was not able to do.
So, I decided to turn on with the famous Flickr as soon I've found a nice PHP library which wraps perfectly the public API: phpFlickr. Thus, I've now an Flickr account -TheFlyingPixie- but all my pictures will be avaible soon from my homepage. Site updates (31st March 2006)
- I've made some global changes on the site: added the blog of my trip in South America and added the possibility to save the feed (source file). I've also added some comments in the gallery. I've finally decided to remove the french support, it's too boring to translate everything and it's good for me to practice a little bit my english writing...
First blog (16th July 2005)
- Après plus d'une année de gestation, je peux enfin vous souhaiter la bienvenue sur la nouvelle mouture de ma page web. Ca m'a pris beaucoup de temps car j'ai voulu tout faire par moi-même, y compris la gallerie de photos. En effet, j'ai dû m'initier à la programmation PHP, à la base de donnée MySQL et aux principes des Web Standards. (Pour en savoir plus à ce sujet jetez un coup d'oeil au colophon.)
Je vous souhaite bien du plaisir sur ce site et n'hésitez pas à m'envoyer un petit mot si le coeur vous en dit. Photos d'Espagne (30th October 2005)
- Les photos d'Espagne sont online! J'ai passé deux semaines de vacances fin septembre avec mon cousin en Andalousie. Beaucoup de fêtes, pas mal de visites et énormément de gastronomie étaient au programme.
Rebirth of California pictures (21st December 2005)
- Check out the gallery, there are "new" pictures! I added all my old collection of pictures I made in California two years ago. For now comments are left aside, I've not enough time yet. Enjoy!
del.icio.us connexion (29th January 2006)
- Now I'm using del.icio.us to manage my bookmarks. This is an easy way to store and sort them and always keep them available everywhere. They are sorted using tags and tags names are graphically growing proportionately to the number of bookmarks tagged with. The best is I found a way to directly display them in the links page.
